Disassembly the Video Glasses

Tutorial: Building the Glasses (WHAT YOU NEED)

Welcome to the first Tutorial!

The Display:

For what:

We need a Display that we could use for our Glasses. Don`t worry, we will use this not as a Video Glasses or as an VR-Glasses.
I use my "MyVu Personal Media Viewer". This should also work on "MyVu Crystal".

Crystal on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Video-Glasses-/163826/i.html?Brand=MyVu
Crystal on Amazon: Sorry, no link yet...

The Cables:

For what:

They are required to connect to a PC, Smartphone, Raspberry PI or a BeagleBone (I use a BeagleBone).
If you have an iPod, iPhone or iPad, you don´t need this cables.

The "Brain" of our Project:

For what:

Hmmm... how difficult... Not only for people who don`t have one :D.
It´s the CPU, GPU, W-LAN, ... so it`s a MINI-PC. Choose that one that you prefer:

APC:

Cu-Box:
Utilite:
Raspberry PI:

There are much more, enjoy googling... or look up these: "Android Mini PC", "Mini PC", "Android TV Stick", "I am an Idiot".

Features:

Needet are these:
-HDMI or VGA
-CPU
-GPU
-ANDROID or Linux
-USB
-W-LAN or HSUPA

Converters:

For what:

Except the Raspberry Pi, none of the them have a cinch port (I`m not so shure, google please....)
So, you  need a VGA-to-RCA or an HDMI-to-RCA converter. It`s different on different boards, look that they have a VGA or a HDMI port.

HDMI/VGA Cables:

For what:

You need them to connect the Converter.

Power Pack:

For what:

For the Power. It`s needed if you don`t want to live only near a power source.

USB-Keyboard with Touchpad:

For what:

For the input. You could also use a BT-Touchpad if you want and if your Mini-PC supports it.
But, pay attention because of the drivers: Use only the ones that support your OS.
